What to Email About

A figure that looks wrong

Say which tool, the inputs you used and the figure you expected. We will check it against the method shown on that page and correct the page if the calculation is wrong.

A grant or price figure that has changed

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme rules, the Ofgem price cap and the government's Boiler Upgrade Scheme statistics all change during the year. The tools that use them say when their figures were read. If a newer one is out, tell us which release or date it comes from.

Partner and affiliate enquiries

Heating companies and affiliate networks can write to the same address. The affiliate disclosure explains how partner links work on this site.

Linking to or embedding a tool

Every calculator has an embed version for your own site, with the code on the tool's page. The full list is on the tools page.

What we cannot help with

We cannot give you a quote, survey your home or recommend an installer.

A heat pump fitted under the Boiler Upgrade Scheme needs an MCS-certified installer, who carries out a room-by-room heat loss survey first. Work on a gas boiler needs a Gas Safe registered engineer.

We use your email only to reply to it. It is not added to a mailing list or passed to a heating company.
