Heating Planner is free to use. It may earn a commission when you follow a partner link to a heating company and go on to ask it for a quote or buy from it.
As of 14 October 2026 there are no partner links on the site. This page sets out how they will work when the first ones are added.
Partner links go through Awin, an affiliate network that records which site sent a visitor to a company. On this site they lead to a boiler or heat pump company's own quote form. If you follow one and then request a quote or buy within that company's tracking period, the company may pay Heating Planner a commission through Awin.
The site adds nothing to the price you are quoted. It does not receive your name, address or other contact details you give the company.
Each partner link is labelled "Partner link" and names the company it goes to. It sits at the end of a result, after the calculator has given its figure.
In the page code each one carries rel="sponsored nofollow", which tells search engines it is a paid link.
Every figure comes from the formula and sources shown on its tool page. The same inputs give the same result whether or not a partner link sits below it, and a company that pays commission has no say over a figure, a default or the wording of a result.
A partner link appears only for a company with an Awin programme, and it is not a recommendation over companies without one. The tools do not list or rank companies, so there is no position a company can pay for.
The site carries Google's advertising code and may show Google ads. Google chooses those ads. Heating Planner does not pick or endorse the companies in them, and they are separate from partner links. The cookie policy covers the cookies they use, and the About page sums up how the site is paid for.
Heating Planner does not ask for your name, email address or postal address, and nothing you type into a calculator is passed to a partner. A form you reach through a partner link belongs to that company, and that company's privacy policy covers what you enter there. What Heating Planner records about visits is in its privacy policy.
